Forming Glaciers
New glaciers forming in the crater of Mt Saint Helens. 50ft of snow a year and the shade of the south rim have quickly created new flows of ice.

Does anybody measure how much they grow per year?

The forest service does, but I don't have the figures. The glacier has been split in two by the new lava dome, and will soon rejoin at the breach as the two halves spill out of the crater. Amazing to watch!
