Wonderful panorama of the Forni glacier, with Monte Vioz, Pizzo Taviela, San Matteo and Pizzo Tresero (all around 3600m). This viewpoint can be reached in about 1 hr from the Branca hut by an easy hike over a side moraine that's part of the Palon de la Mare ascent (from rif. Branca).

Hasn't voted | You are right, when I was at the Gavia pass hut, I saw a black-and-white picture of the Forni glacier: it came all the way to the Forni hut itself!! Looking down the valleys and the moraines you can really see the extent of the damage.
