First Alpine Peak  Sucess!

This was my very first alpine summit and only for many years until decades later.
Ascended from the base up a crevasse/chute structure on the northwest-facing southeast flank. Very large talus movement, like life-ending if you got caught. My partner free-soloed the east-facing west face which I recall as being very vertical and very tall (maybe 800'?).
Glad I found my way back to peak bagging/backpacking.

Traverse from Tower  Sucess!

A long class 2 slog with a bit of a krummholtz maze. This was on a loop trip out via Piute Meadows and back via Dorothy Lake. Trip report.

Northwest Ridge  Sucess!

Beautiful weekend spent backpacking up Jack Main Canyon, starting at Hetch Hetchy and finishing at Kennedy Meadows. Climbed on the second day from Dorothy Lake and afterwards continued over Bond Pass to Emigrant Meadow Lake.

Route Climbed: Eastern saddle from the north Date Climbed: August 2, 1999  Sucess!

This was a solo climb that I did during a 10 day trip to Emigrant/Hoover/Yosemite. I unfortunately left my extra rolls of film back at camp. So I only got a few shots from the summit. There's a terrific looking granite pillar on the north side between the saddle and the summit that I would love to come back and climb some day.
