| Did the trail with my Dad from Barrett-Stoddard road that leads to the Barrett-Stoddard truck trail then on to the summit. Totally underestimated the difficulty of this hike for an out of shape weekend warrior. Lots of very hot sun, knats, and flies along this route. Towards the top of the summit the trail was completely overgrown with spiky bushes causing us to have to find another way. We found a good place to scramble to the top. On the way down we tried some direct line hiking and headed straight down the north side. It went very well till the bottom when we hit more spiky bushes that we had to crawl through. We were pretty scratched up. We made it but this was a tough hike! That trail needs some pruning. Glad I did it! | ||

| Fun hike; lots of brush in some areas once you get off the truck trail, yet manageable. Nice view in all directions, particularly of ontario peak and cucamonga peak. | |

| I knew the trail was steep but was still surprised with how difficult it was. Good workout though, definitely helped me develop my off-trail skills. | |

| I once went as a teenager with a friend right up the south side of Frankish. We bushwacked right up some of the steep ridges. Not far below the summit I found an old license plate from 1932. My father still has it in his garage. We had hiked the road to the top a few years before. | |

| Hiked Frankish with my dad via The Cucamonga Truck Trail. The views from the top were awesome. We mixed it up and descended the east ridge from Frankish. We took a left before the last bump in the ridge, and ended up bushwhacking through these annoying prickly plants..not a good idea. All-in-all an exhausting, but fun day. | |

| A crazy rainy day, long muddy miles along fireroads , from the top all i could see was rain. a crazy day. since the fires in 2003 there are several open ridgelines and slopes routes. the sw ridge from the baldy dam area is probably the best. 2400ft gain give or take 200ft | |
