Beckey's the MAN (all man!)About a week before heading out to NJ, Fred was out in Red Rocks. We passed him on our way out of Pine Creek Canyon (he was hiking in with three guys). I was walking ahead of Shirley and said "hello Mr. Beckey" as I passed him by. He ignored me (hard of hearing & I'd ignore me too). When Shirley passed him, he gave her a big wide smile & a wink. Ever since then, Shirley's been sending hard - all her projects have been going down. But I digress...

i noticed that hearing thing, and i wonder how much of it is real or not.
I will say he treated my and my friend real nice, asked us what there is to climb around here and what the skiing is like (our answers were not much for both!) but it was cool to have him ask us about the local scene. That was a real cool night!
