Drove to the end of a FS off State Route 89. Followed the trail at the end of the road until it disappeared. Continued angling up and north and finally reached the shoulder of Jobs Peak. Hiked down to the saddle between Jobs Sisters and Jobs and then on up to the summit. After a snack, hiked over to Freel where I met two women having a martini who had come up the regular route. Headed back toward Jobs Sister and went down the gully at the saddle between the two peaks. There are bits of not heavily used trail at the bottom of the canyon that appear and disappear. Left the trail for good when I came upon a rather large bear ripping up a log and eating the stuff inside. Luckily he never noticed me. Just under 6 hours round trip, including about 45 minutes on Freel chatting.

Nice hike. All three peaks in the area make for a long day.

A fine half day hike with great views. Surprising amount of snow still left at the upper elevations. Trip Report

I summited Freel on a clear, crisp fall day with my friends Mark and Neva. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the great views.
