From near the meadow

This view of the west side of Lowe Peak opened up to us as we headed up the trail. It seemed like we would be better off trying to go up the west side directly toward the summit rather than go up to Dead Ox Pass and make our way from there. The summit is about 3000 feet above us. As far as our choice of going up the west side (using a drainage) it worked out well for us. 6-21-10
