there in western Washington, anything exciting?

Is the road going up to Paradise (on Mount Rainier) open yet ???

My my - talk about snow! There's a lot of
"talk" about the ocean rising, which isn't
so far-fetched when you think about all that
snow left to melt, and find its way down to
the enigmatic ocean.

Lookin' at this makes me want to post a
classic picture from Mt. Adams.

Howdy! The road to Paradise is open all year round! We got all of our snow late (March, April, even May!) and so it's very unconsolidated. I think overall, we may be slightly above average snowpack, but it feels like more because it came down so recently. The National Park was going to open Cayuse Pass last week but new snowfall prevented that. Chinook Pass is still closed.
