These are the blue waters of the large man made reservoir of Fruid. This is one of three large man made reservoirs in this area that supply drinking water to the capital city of Edinburgh. This was taken on a fine day with wonderful blue skys reflecting in the waters.

The water in this area does actually taste nicer than where I live in Kent.
I guess its just the amount of chalk and lime down my way.
