| Amazing views and scenery, mind blowing rock climbing routes on the giant granite outcrops scattered just about everywhere on the way up, a small stream of water, big healthy pines, smooth trail, and nice temperatures. Left TR Saturday morning, summited Castle Rocks on the way, and arrived at Little Round Valley around noon. Climbed to the peak for a nice sunset then camped in LR Valley. Hiked back the next morning. | ||

| Beautiful, sunny fall day for my 5 HPS-peak day. First time to San J along Fuller Ridge Trail. HIGHLY recommend it! Added Black Mtn (LO) and Castle Rocks before and Folly and Ranger Peaks after. | ||

| We did this route as an overnight backpack beginning early on Saturday morning. Set up camped in Little Round Valley, summitted San Jacinto then returned to camp. Hiked out early Sunday morning. Really nice view of the Coachella Valley as we progressed along the ridgeline. | ||

| My first climb of San Jacinto. Great trail over the ridge itself. Water flowing great this year, with 3 or 4 solid streams to fill up from. Saw only 4 other people on the trail, all in one group. I definately agree with others who have said the ridge seems longer on the way down. We were racing to make the car by sundown, made it there as it was getting pitch black. All in all a great hike. | ||

| A nice and refreshing way to climb San Jac. The scenery is undiscribable. Highly recommend if your looking for a secluded and different way up. The views of the Snow Creek Drainage down low and the north face up high are awesome! | ||

| Very nice hike with great views of Snow Creek. We could also see the remnants of the freak 8/31 snowfall on Gorgonio. | ||

| asmrz | Wonderful hike ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 5, 2007 | |
| Penelope and I decided to test our hot weather hiking skills by hiking the Fuller Ridge yesterday July 5th, 2007. It was an extremely hot day (102 degrees) in Idyllwild but higher up, the conditions were almost reasonable. We drank about 4 quarts of water each and actually enjoyed the trip. The Fuller Ridge (in our opinion) is the best, hardest and most scenic of the four hikes starting in or close to Idyllwild ( Marion Mtn Trail, Dear Springs Trail and San Jac via Wellman Devide). The views of the North Face of San Jac are awesome and although the route has several steep uphill sections in both directions, it is a beautiful hike. We saw no one. | ||

| My first trip up San Jacinto Peak and it was unbelievable! It took us longer than expected, but we had a great time and kept getting blown away by the scenery. | ||
