Gannett Peak Trip - Raincover Ice Water

With pains in his feet increasing after attempting to climb Gannett Peak, I figured my hiking partner Jack needed to soak his feet in ice-cold water. However, with only small containers, we appeared to have nothing big enough to contain both the water and his feet. Thinking about how my backpack's raincover repels water, I wondered if it would hold it, as well. It did, and Jack's feet were soothed. However, the mosquitoes were swarming him as he sat in the open air. Photo taken on July 11, 2009.
