Lower Iowa Gulch
We started at Lower Iowa Gulch trailhead, went up Dyer Amphitheatre to the saddle, then up Dyer's west ridge to summit Dyer. We then went down the east ridge, climbed the twin summits of Gemini and then Sherman. We descended to the Sherman - Sheridan saddle and then dropped back down to our start point.

Via Sherman from Iowa Gulch
Climbed via Sherman- pretty windy at times, but otherwise great weather. No one else around. Climbed both peaks.

Some cool bumps
Scaled the NE prominance first (county high point) and had a bit to eat on the other peak. Couple of cool little bumps. Went on to tag Dyer. Couldn't have asked for better weather.

nice tour from Sherman. I'd opt for Horseshoe next time
Route Climbed: ASARCO Mine Date Climbed: December 6, 2006
Parked at the winter TH at the ASARCO mine, slogged up the road to the Iowa Amphetheater. Hit the saddle between Dyer and Gemini, took the ridge up to Gemini. In between the twin summitts of Gemini, the winds we a solid 40mph. Continued on to Sherman and then on to Mt. Sheridan. Nice Solo hike.

3rd stop on my way from West Dyer to Sheridan. Gotta love the power lines.
An Elk bugled when I stepped onto the trail in the morning. An elk bugled in the afternoon when I stepped off the trail and back onto the road. Never saw anyone that day; just heard the elk. Thanks.

This one may have..
been a 14er once. I'm sure the intensive mining blasting that occured on the peak in the 1800's downgraded it some. Who knows, I'm surely not a geologist.

Short hike from sherman. There is a large wind shelter on top. it looks like people are trying to stack rocks to make it a 14er

Tour de Mosquito Range
Did this along with Dyer, Sherman, Sheridan, Peerless and Horseshoe that day. The Mosquitos can sure deliver some fun.
Route Climbed: Via Sherman Summit Date Climbed: October 2, 2005
Tagged top after summiting Sherman with Alan Arnette. It was great climbing back over the north slope of Sherman and through the first snow of the year. Experienced some incredibly strong October winds on the saddles with relatively calm summits.
Route Climbed: Upper Iowa Gulch Date Climbed: June 11, 2005
Climbed at night under clear skies. I thought this would be the most asthetic way to climb this peak. Although I couldn't see the power lines, I could surely hear them. Also climbed Dyer as well.
