Velicka proba - Gerlach - Batizovska proba  Sucess!

Nice climb with a mountain guide, but not too difficult. Great tour in using both "normal routes".

By the evening  Sucess!

It was a long and hot day(after Batizovsky in the afternoon), we summitted Gerlach at 7pm in golden sunset rays, met 2 Czech climbers on the peak, great impressions as usual, descent the same way... Watch out! No more chains on the route in Batizovsky couloir what makes it a bit more demanding and interesting.

Wielicka Proba Date Climbed: 26.07.2005
A long day. Pleasant memory from the first year of friendship with Tatra Mountains.
Martin's route from Zadni Gerlach, solo, 27.05.2011
Started on a bike 6AM in Horny Smokovec, 10:00 Zadni Gerlach, 10:30 Gerlach.
Dry ridge, snow only on the one ledge. 20 min from Tetmajer's pass. From the pass it looks seriously, but generally is simply and unfortunately too short route... I've expected something 'bigger', anyway the most beautiful part of the day. Descend via Batyzowiecki Zleb.
september 2011, as higher but with a friend
With coming back to katowice the same day by -elekrticka to Stary Smokovec - bus to Tatranska Kotlina - on foot to Zdziar - auto stop to Zakopane - bus to Krakow - train to Katowice - tram to Chorzów, welcome home at 5AM :)

Great ascent in perfect weather conditions !

Some adventures on way up with slovak guides ...luckily everything ended well ,I climbed the highest Tatra peak and have wonderful possibilty to admire for over one hour brilliant panorama of "sea of peaks" in all directions !

No serious difficulties by dry rock ,possible orientation problems in quite complicated highest section around the ridge by bad weather conditions (fog)

Route Climbed: Velicka proba - Gerlach - Batizovska proba Date Climbed: 6 August 2002  Sucess!

Quite a nice climb , but in bad weather you might get a bit disoriented and lose the easiest route , unfortunately we have nearly no view at all from the summit and storm caught us on the way down from Sliezsky dom

Route Climbed: standard Date Climbed: September 1998  Sucess!

My first "climb" beyond established trails - we had a local guide who kept on talking and talking all the way. Weather was nothing much so no views from the summit - but we were happy to be on the top of what used to be Czechoslovakia...
