Yeah, I know. I think that this may be the only (reasonable) starting point to any of Utah's 13000 footers where you can see your destination at the start.

How far?

Were you able to get in all the way to the TH?

On May 14, the morning after that picture was taken, I was only able to drive .8 miles down the road. I stopped at the last bare spot. 11 days later on May 25, I think I would have been able to drive all the way, but made the last left before you get there. As far as I could see down the road to the TH, there was no snow.
