These rocks are located right next to the road, and there are rocks that are completely red right next to them.

colour

I take it that these cliffs are hard sandstone ! I wonder what gives it the black colour ? How high are the cliffs and do the routes go to the top ? cheers.

Yes, they are hard sandstone and about 100 feet high. I was there during the winter months and didn't do any climbing. I am not sure how many routes there are on this particular rock, but I am sure there are at least a couple of routes along those discontinuous cracks.
