Nice day hike
This was a very nice short hike up the ridge with beautiful views of Rainier, Bumping Lake, and Mt. Adams and Mt. Stuart in the distance. There was some weird fly like insect on the rocks at the top and it was difficult to stop moving long enough for a photo but it was nice in the shade just below.

Unsure of exact date. Climbed many times. There is a shortcut at the end of Chipmunk Creek road. Also have gone up from Hells Crossing and down to Bumping.
Hiked up from Bumping River Road via the Goat Creek and American Ridge trails. Spectacular summit views!

Western larchmania!!
The hike was fairly quick but the views were excellent. The weather was great and we reached the summit right after the fog cleared. Perfect late fall hike when the western larches are out.
