| Hiked up to the base of the Red Cathedral via Golden Canyon. It was already very hot (>100F). My first time in this canyon but so many things to explore here. Will be back. | |

| Been here 3 times now. This is by far the most awesome canyon I have ever seen. All the different colors and formations make it very stimulating for the eyes. The most fun I had here was running up all the side gullies, scrambling over loose rocks and squeezing my way up through small chimneys. Take the time ro climb Manly Beacon and Red Cathedral. They're worth it. | |

| From Zabriskie Point we did a loop hike down Golden Canyon and up Gower Gulch. Golden Canyon seems to be the more popular of the two canyons. | |

| First time was back in 1996, my first hiking in the West. I've been up Manly Beacon three times, Red Cathedral twice, some unnamed formations, and through both canyons as well as some of the side canyons. Beautiful place, always something new to discover. | |

| We enjoyed this canyon & exploring the side canyons. I was nervous watching Geoff scramble on some of the rock, er congealed mud, but he enjoyed it. Hiking there was like walking through geoloical time. | |
