Supreme solitude
Although it is less "spectacular" than other parts of the Sierra, it's much easier to find remoteness and peace here, which itself is just as much of a spectacle.
I grew up here, and feel blessed to have shared time and space with its mountain peaks, valleys, forests, lakes and rivers..

Backpacked on the western and eastern sides of this wilderness area - Trout Meadow, Grey Meadow, Cottonwood Lakes area. Click's Creek, Lewis, Jerkey, and Cottonwood Lakes Trailheads.

Love this areaEven though I love getting above timberline, I love this area and have had great fun exploring with my kids.
