Gomar Falls

Gomar Falls

GOMAR FALLS at 90 meters high, 40 meters wide, 5 meters thick, grade 3-3+...this baby is a monster. One of the few climbs in Orient Bay that requires a bit of an approach. At 1.5 miles in mostly following a powerline, the level of effort required for the approach depends wholly on depth of the snow and whether or not fellow climbers have graciously broken trail. The way back to the truck seemed to take twice as much time and energy than the way to the climb. It's funny how that works...go figure.
