Hiked this on a very buggy June day. Straight-forward climb with a nice lookout near the summit. But you have to climb the fire tower at the summit to get any views there.
Huge thunderstorms rolled in the area and as they cleared we went up for excellent views.I brought a friend John for which it was his first mountain. You never forget your first summit. This a one for him to remember
I learned about Adirondack Spring weather on this hike. There was little snow at the base, but we ended up postholing to the summit through hip deep snow on the ridge. Nice views from the tower.
Hiked up this one with my 2 sons. There was still a couple feet of snow on the ground, but the temperature was about 50 that day. Might go up this summer too. Great views!
