| Epic view of Shasta and Mcloughlin. Trailhead is poorly marked but fine if you know where you're headed. Long day of post holing and knee bashing, but it was great! | |

| Started the morning at about 4:00 AM just over 10,000 ft on the Hotlum-Wintun Ridge on Mount Shasta while on a solo trip. Was up Shasta before 8:00 and had plenty of daylight left by the time I'd packed up and made it back to Brewer Creek TH. Drove over and hiked up Goosenest, it felt a little more strenuous given the morning's activities. | |

| My son, dog (Mac / Yellow lab) and I hiked up the 'Bob Rath Road' trail and glad we did. The trail was loose but a great Shasta & Herd Peak view the entire route. | |

| Juan, Luis, Lab Dylan, Kelpie Marley, and I had a fun hike to the top on a clear day. Great views and saw no other vehicles once we left HWY 97. A few snow patches for the dogs to cool off in inside the crater. | |
