Long way round
We backpacked the basin below for two nights, climbed Pyramid via the cirque, then ridgewalked to Gospel Peak. Fantastic place, heavenly walking along the crest!
Route Climbed: North ridge/east face Date Climbed: July 24, 2004
The walk up the north side from the main ridge is extremely easy. I took it until the final summit hump and then turned left to climb up the east face. There are some difficult and technical rocks here and I picked a moderately strenuous path up through a series of chutes through the cliffs. Had to back down a couple times and try another way, but it was a lot of fun. Very close to the road, but a good mountain to spend some time on.
