Grains Gill - going around, first time

I had encountered a tricky section in the lower canyon of the upper Grains Gill. Although I thought that I could scramble my way up, I elected to take the safer option because I was alone and didn't have a rope. Therefore, I went back a couple of minutes to where I could get out of the canyon and followed the banks until I was past the problem and could get back in. Here I'm looking down at the obstacle. 24 May 2012.
