Gran Paradiso group at dusk,...

Gran Paradiso group at dusk, led by its two main peaks; bulky and massive Gran Paradiso (4061m), left, and sharp and elegant La Grivola (3969m), right.

View from the opposite side of Aosta valley, from Theodulo pass below Matterhorn. Dark peak below is Gran Sometta (3166m). Clouds are rising from Valtournenche valley.

What...

a shot: it's a dream!

I want to mention also the elegant Herbetet, not far on the right of the Gran Paradiso summit.

In front of it one can also recognize the summits of the Emilius group.

Re: What...

Thanks Livio! It was very beautiful dusk. Emilius should be the one just left of La Grivola, under a cloud, right?

Re: What...

Yes, it is: and the summits at its left should be the contiguous Punta Rossa dell'Emilius and Punta di Laures and then Punta Garin.
