| Got rained on at night at the trailhead and it rained again in the morning. Left kind of late (7am)due to the rain but it turned out to be the right decision. I met a couple of people who left very early and had to turn around due to hail and sleet up high. I was surprised by the number of people on the trail for a weekday. | |

| Impromptu hike as I had already completed 2 other 14ers in the past three days. Originally hoped to hike both Grays and Torreys Peaks but weather decided differently. Was very happy to reach the highest point on the Continental Divide! | |

| Made the summit of Grays in 2.5 hours in between bad weather. REALLY wanted to cross the saddle and do Torrey's also but weather did not permit. Maybe next time. | |

| Came over from a cloudy & cold Torreys but by the time we made it to Grays the sun was coming out. Cool watching the wind blow clouds right up and over the summit and adjacent ridges at pretty amazing speed. | |

| Great non-technical walk up, but the altitude at that elevation gets to you even on easy hikes if you aren't accustomed. Views were amazing. Lots of people up there on a beautiful Sunday morning. | |

| We summited Torreys from Kelso Ridge, then went to Grays. There were a lot of people on the summit, and more coming up. It was pretty windy. We ate lunch, then headed down via the Grays Peak trail. We got back to the cars around 11:30. Lots of people wearing jeans and not carrying much in the way of provisions. Also, we saw several hikers going up as we were returning to the trailhead. | |

| Summited from Torreys after doing Kelso Ridge. The scree slog up from the saddle was really boring. I don't think I would have ever done Grays if I wasn't already on top of Torreys via a pretty cool route. | |

| Slept at the TH, started around 7:45 and did Greys and Torreys. On the way down, we did an amazing glissade. These were 14ers number 14 and 15 for me. These were also are 8th and 9th 13k+ peak in 3 days. Cool views and an amazing area. Definitely worth the visit. | |

| Had a great day hike with my friend Kara. There was only one other group climbing that day so it was really peaceful compared to the usual summer throngs. Really windy but otherwise a amazing day and our first winter ascent! | |
