The reason why

it's green:

The Lake Powell filters out the sediments,
filling the reservoir's bottom with sand.

The water released from the reservoir is void
of all sediments, and flows as a cold string
of green, unlike some of the wild rivers of
central AZ that still flow as RED.

The force of the water clearly cuts through the canyon, which fascinates the eye and still receives my 10/10 vote !!
