| Steven Cross | Route Climbed: Chitauqua Park to summit Date Climbed: 11-05-05 ![]() | |
| Started too late, got off at dark. All I had was a keychain flashlight. This mountain really kicked my butt! I have not been doing much hiking lately and was really out of shape. Was sore for 3 days. | ||

| Nice morning hike with good views of the Boulder area. Something tells me Shadow Rock is the least scenic way to summit the mountain. Sean | ||

| It was nice to get back in the mountains after The Week of Crummy Weather. I hiked this one with my sister. I was a little worried that there would be too much snow on the trail. There is still a lot of snow up there, but it is melting pretty quickly. Trail conditions were not bad, not too much snow, though footing is treacherous in places and there's a lot of mud. Still a good hike, though. | ||

| A great day hike, take the kids and get some excersice. The view of the continental divide and the city of Boulder below is more than worth the effort required. OH pack a lunch too, the top is a perfect picnic spot. | ||

| Diggler | Route Climbed: Bear Canyon from NCAR Date Climbed: 22 December, 2004 ![]() | |
| Beautiful day for a hike in Boulder, with everything covered in fresh powder. Did this with Brock (bakcast), visiting from Montana for the holidays. Started from NCAR about 11.45 or so, summited 14.26, & got back @ 16.42. We saw a fair number of people down below, but once we got into the canyon, we were all by ourselves. While I might have summited Green Mtn with my mom awhile back (we went up the canyon to the 'T,' but I think we went L at the time), I think this was the first time I summited this particular peak. Snow did a good job of concealing ice underneath, & I landed on my ass a number of times! Couldn't see anything from the summit, as we were basically in the middle of a cloud. Great dayhike & good chance to get to know another cool SP member. | ||

| We were visiting some friends teaching at CU and this trip was an epiphany. We just headed out of our appt near campus and walked up Green Mtn, in my sneakers. Since this hike my life changed. After 10 years as an urban professional I discovered the outdoors. We climbed this and the flat irons, and went to RMNP, returning to NYC I joined the AMC, started hiking, then climbing, then backpacking, then ice climbing, then mountaineering. Since then the outdoors and climbing have been a central part of my life. What a beutiful place. | ||

| CharlesD | Route Climbed: Skunk Canyon Date Climbed: 2004 ![]() | |
| This is definitely not the recommended route up Green. Starts with a bushwhack through the narrows of Skunk Canyon but then opens up nicely in the interior. Packed snow/ice on the upper trail. Great views. Descent via Green-Bear trail. | ||
