cruised the west ridge of greg mace to the false summit after climbing both the pearls. unfortunately, the final stages of the climb didn't cooperate as well. sarah, dwight and i had to get out on some frozen, north facing snow before climbing through horribly loose scree to reach the tiny summit.
glissading one of the north couloirs from ~300' vertical below the summit to minutes from the road made all our scree nightmares vanish rapidly!
West Ridge & North Couloirs Date Climbed: May 16, 2009
Bonus peak after Pearl Mountain and "West Pearl Mountain". West Ridge has some interesting, scrambly terrain near the end. Descended one of the North Couloirs and got in some good glissades nearly all the way back down to the road.
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
