Griffith Peak in the wind

Windy winter day in the Spring Mountains, Nevada.
The summit of Griffith Peak is visible straight ahead. I took this photo on the way down from the top when I turned around and saw that most of our snowshoe prints have already been covered up.

I'm always looking forward to the upcoming season (even though I'm enjoying the one I'm in). This photo really gets me in the frame of mind to break out my showshoes, or the crampons and the ax, or the skis, or just to throw a snowball at someone.
