I've planning on that one for a very long time. The snow could not have been have been better timed, although my freezing hands might have begged to differ!

The composition made the entire trip a success all in itself, a most climatic ending to an amazing adventure! Standing before the scene, my tripod on a spot I had earlier marked with a cairn, I experienced incredible elation! It was a truly rare encounter.

Re: Where is thisMitre Basin, the first of two background peaks to the right of the trees is the Miter. Back during more foolhardy days, I climbed and fell from the Miter damn near killing myself!
