Guffert West Ridge

Guffert West Ridge

Guffert West Ridge, as seen from the last steps to the main summit. Done direct, the ridge has some harder moves, protected by good bolts. You can surpass these moves on the left on rock of lesser quality. But most of the ridge is scrambling. The crux is the approach. It is not easy to find. You better approach from southwest instead of northwest. The latter offers 'nice bushwhacking' and slippery ground. But southwest does not look much better from above.
