Been eyeing this peak for years. With cabins in Index and the Jump Off Ridge Trailhead about a mile away I am often up Bitter Creek. My buddy Jayson and I bagged the peak after a failed attempt last summer.

Nice hike. I think this one is better with some snow, as it was when we did it.

Great Peak!
I had been wanting to visit Gunnshy Peak for many years, since growing up in the nearby city of Gold Bar. My interest in the peak grew considerably after summiting neighboring Gunn Peak several years ago. Fantastic views for an often neglected mountain in Wild Sky Wilderness.
