Voted 10/10 | Fantastic set of shots from Iceland Brian including this one, of course! Can't believe the mix of colors terrain has there, great work to capture it right way! | | Posted Aug 12, 2004 6:43 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks much! This is a really unique area in Iceland where the colors are very interesting. If you ever get the chance, go there. Appreciate your nice comments. Thanks. | | Posted Aug 12, 2004 1:57 pm |

Voted 10/10 | This is one of the best I've seen you take so far. It actually comes close to some that I took on Rainer and in Alaska. | | Posted Aug 13, 2004 5:50 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks, man. Thanks for stopping by to check the shots out. Now, if we can only get those leaves to cooperate this time in October.... | | Posted Aug 13, 2004 10:54 pm |
| dmiki | Beutiful colors | |
Voted 10/10 | Probably typical of Iceland as I remember going to an exhibition a year ago and coming away with a similar feeling - browns and greens and yellows and blacks. Well, probably not yellows. | | Posted Aug 25, 2004 10:33 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. There actually was a bit of yellow too. Reds and pinks too. Glad you got to go there, it's a great place. | | Posted Aug 25, 2004 5:04 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Well, the exhibition was _about_ Iceland and not _in_ Iceland :-( Hope to go there one day though. | | Posted Aug 25, 2004 6:00 pm |

Hasn't voted | Oh, bummer. I would suggest going in July or August. Outside of that and it might be kind of cold and dark. | | Posted Aug 25, 2004 8:13 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Great pic Brian! Am i right that this is in or near the Landmannalaugar-area?!
Bring back memories of my stay there some years ago!

Hasn't voted | Yes, you are corect. This was in Landmannalaugar Park just west of the main campground maybe a few kilometers. If you hike up west from the campground away from the river there, you climb over a lava wall into this valley. Was a great place and I hope to go back in the next couple of years as well.
Thanks,

| lcarreau | Hello Brian, | |
Voted 10/10 | I gave it vote #50.
Landmannalaugar Park? Why are
the names so long? By the time
you say the name, your reservation
has already been canceled. Where
are the Icelandic poppies?? Do
they grow at a lower elevation?
Another nice picture! - LARRY | | Posted May 14, 2008 5:59 pm |

Hasn't voted | Ha ha. Thanks for the vote! Don't know what those flowers were, I called them Dr. Seuss flowers as they look like the hair on his cartoon characters. | | Posted May 14, 2008 9:04 pm |
