#5 Mummy Mania  Sucess!

With Eric Holle. Couldn't resist doing a little class 4 climbing up diagonal cracks near summit. Sweet mountain. GOING STRONG! Summited after Fairchild then off to Mummy.

Lawn Lake to the Saddle and SW ridge  Sucess!

Beautiful Day. Enjoyed the summit before being chased off by threatening weather. Two of the party went along the ridge to Mummy.

Mummy Mania

Started a little late, fifth and final summit of Mummy Mania. We only got 5 done as a nasty storm chased us off Hagues at the last minute.

From Lost Lake  Sucess!

It was a very long day, but worth the effort to be on the highest point in Larimer County, Colorado. We decended along the ridge to Dunraven and Raven Point, but had to drop off the ridge when dark clouds moved in.

Route Climbed: North Ridge from Rowe Peak Date Climbed: August 16, 1986

We were able to find an 3rd class route across the ridge above Rowe Glacier by staying on the west side and finding ledge systems to bypass the gendarmes. Total ascents = 3.

Route Climbed: From Mummy Mnt via Black Canyon Date Climbed: August 28, 2005  Sucess!

Aproached via saddle between Mummy and Hagues. Was a long scramble after Mummy. Used both sides of ridge and saw nice views of Rowe Glacier. Could not find way down to the saddle between Fairchild. Ended up shimmying down a chimney and descending the south face back to lawn lake. Not recommended!

Great fun scrambling up the ridge. Took the Class 2 option up near the summit. Incredible views to the south and west.

The 5th summit in a very long day but the most fun mountain of the 6 summits. Great rock climbing near the summit - I loved it!

Route Climbed: Mummy Mania from Chapin Date Climbed: September 18th 2004  Sucess!

Hiked Mummy Mania with Erin, Ryan, Andy, and John yesterday. We had beautiful weather and a great hike.

This was the most technical, but also the funnest of all the mountains on the trip.

Thanks Andy for spending the time to submit a page.
