Half Dome and Clouds Rest | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Seen from Glacier Point. On a different day in a different year, some friends and I hiked from Toulumne Meadows on the John Muir Trai, took a detour over Clouds Rest (seen here on the left) and then climbed Half Dome. It was a 30 mile day, that is the most I have ever hiked in one day, and maybe ever will. This photo has lots of memories for me.

Hasn't voted | Thanks, i have really been working on the morning and evening photos. Sometimes the subtle colors come out in low light. | | Posted Jul 11, 2009 10:19 am |

Hasn't voted | You are right, I think about standing there very often. | | Posted Oct 2, 2009 9:06 am |

Voted 10/10 | A sight also familiar to me, and I never wanted to leave this place, and made it 3 times. The Half Dome hike is a tough yet unforgettable trip. | | Posted Oct 14, 2009 6:28 pm |

Hasn't voted | just made my third trip to the top a couple weeks ago. We went from Toulumne Meadows to Clouds Rest, to Half Dome and on to the Valley, great trip but it takes me a while to recover from a 30 mile day. | | Posted Oct 26, 2009 2:41 pm |
