Good basic info. More images when you have them would help. Cheers William

Thanks for the vote and kind words. The rest of the pics are up so the page is pretty much finished.

Nice looking high hill of a mountain with a name that just rolls off the tongue, like an ill-placed jelly bean.

Yeah, but what a hill! Ya gotta admit it's got some mean route possibilities.

Thanks for the vote!

Looking out the window at work and thinking that a place like this one is only 40 minutes away really makes me hate work!!

What ? Radek, you are actually at work? You should be in Utah or Nevada or some such place, not at work (win the lottery) Take it from me, work really tends to get in the way of what life is all about. : )

FINALLY, one page you put up that I've already done. :- ) I'll look tonight to see if I have any photos I can add. Good one, Don.

Yes, but did you do ALL the trails?! Isn't there a rule that once a page is up you have to do it again?

Thanks for the vote and looking forward to seeing your pics.

Don

PS: How was Rainier?

Oh no, you can't change the rules on me now. I was there twice and I don't need to go back and do the back trails. :- )

Rainier was good but no summit. I'll tell you about it this Saturday on Goat Mtn.

Just remembered that I made the previous entry and I really had put it on my to do list. My wife and I made the Hamilton Mountain visit a month later after you put this page up. Thanks for the stimulation to do this one. So many left in the gorge for me to do yet but this was a nice one. .

nice looking peak - what kind of stone is that? I'm guessing basalt in that area, the cliffs sure do catch the eye for doing some climbing.

Nice job

I believe you're right. The basalt flows of the Columbia Plateau were pretty runny. Some of the points on the Oregon coast are basalt that flowed from vents near the Oregon-Idaho border. That was probably a dangerous time to live around here!
