Fun with family
Fun and easy ferrata with my niece, her husband and 8 year old Natalie who ran up, and we all had a hard time to keep up with her.
Perfect weather. Mid week is great - ferrata was very uncrowned. We saw only one more party en route.

Nice climb
Although, the route was closed due to general reconstruction we decided to climb up and not to turn back.
It was an awsome climb in perfect weather conditions.

Lucky with the weather
The forecast for the week-end was pretty poor; nevertheless, we decided to go. We were lucky Saturday morning: it was overcast, but no rain. So we started out fairly early, parked the cars at 7:30 and were at the start of the steig at 9. We only got a bit of rain after the Madonnna, which made the rock quite slippery. Visibility from the summit cross was very limited and the wind started to pick up, so we quickly headed to the Seehütte to enjoy some hot soup/Glühwein. While we warmed up, quite a crowd gathered. On the way down we saw an alpine salamander. :) As soon as we reached the cars, the downpour arrived...

after a rainy day
That morning we (with Blaze334) were waiting for the Sun for an hour (where the route is starting), but it was sprinkle. We went up to the Hüt. When came down the weather started to be better, that is why we try this route.
Nice slippery surface some part of the route (after the bad weather).

It was our first harder ferrata route. It was fantastic. Cloudy weather. The upper part was really exposed.
There was nobody on the ferrata. We visited the summit cross of Preinerwand.

In snow and in sunshine. It was my first serious via ferrata so it belongs close to my heart. :-)

I passed in in summer, in winter, in sunshine, in fog... But it is a very nice via ferrata. I like it a lot.
We had very nice weather, but, for this reason, there was big crowd. I don't really like when someone clips into the same section on the cable where I am. Also think it is dangerous when two or more people are climbing on a ladder. Everyone should know and respect the rules of climbing ferratas.
But at least I had time to take photos. We tried to traverse through Malersteig to the Königschusswandsteig, but somewhere in the middle, we had to turn around because we encountered a badly exposed part which was quite difficult, and there were no possibilities to build up a belay. So continued on Haidsteig.
Visited the summit cross of Preinerwand (1783 m).
