View of the southern Cascades from a turnout on California Highway 44, just east of Old Station, CA. Lassen Peak (10457') on the left, Sugarloaf Peak (6552') is the cone-shaped mountain on the right.
Also note the burnt vegetation from the 2009 Sugarloaf Fire, started by a summer lightning storm.
