After visiting Antelope Canyon and The Wave, we hiked down to Supai to partake in the beautiful waterfalls. I didn't manage to hike down to the Colorado River as with my first visit, but it was fun all the same. Our trip out was made more eventful by riding the helicopter ;)

Cool trip in a very unique place. I liked the pony express mail train with the pack of local dogs following it up and down the canyon every day. Get some fry bread at the bottom before you see the falls.

Beautiful hiking, especially if you follow the creek itself. A little overcrowded and garbage about, but at least the hike in keeps the numbers down somewhat. I also agree that the entry fees are extravagant, but what can you do? Wish I could have seen it before the flooding.

I saw Havasu in 2005 from the river. Only as far as Beaver Falls though. I cant wait to hike in from above to see the rest.

Fantastic hike! There is nothing like hiking all day and then wading into the blue river. One of my favorite places.

Got to go on this trip with NAU Outdoors for free and I got a credit for it. A little cold-the water was warmer then the air. Watch out for racoons.

This hike was amazing. Getting down to the lower falls was really something special. Kinda sketchy on the way down there, but we had a great time. It was HOT but the crystal blue water could not have been better.

I left as it started to sprinkle...the sprinkle that led to the massive flash flood that destroyed everything.

Pretty place, its a shame that better care is not taken of the area. Lots of trash, and poorly managed trails

Just as gorgeous as it was in 2006. The campground was MUCH cleaner this time - they removed the overflowing trash barrels in the campground so it's now much more clear you need to pack out your own trash. There's still a bit of trash on the trail down to the village, so hopefully people can help clean that up.

We went behind Havasu Falls this time. We didn't even know you could do that until one of the natives did. Great stuff!

An amazing place marred by a few disgusting facts. The campground is far too crowded (250 people per night on weekends during spring & summer, usually) and the outhouses are the worst I've ever seen, anywhere. The fees have just been greatly increased $35/person entrance fee + $17/night per person camping fee...and such now border on extortion.

That being said, this place is GORGEOUS. Havasu & Mooney are two of the best swimming holes in the whole country. It's a journey unlike any other in the state. If more people respected this place and it was cleaned up a bit, it would be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Been done here many times, the first being when I was about ten years old and the latest being in on a private river trip in Jan of 2008. Each time I go I tell myself I won't come back--the place is getting trashed and more and more crowded--but the allure keeps bringing me back anyway. With an easy hike, good campgrounds (besides the outhouse situation) and of course, the water, Havasupai will always attract people looking for a laid back, unprimitive trip into the Grand Canyon.

I hiked in and out from Hualapai Hilltop with my two sons Lance and Travis. We swam at Mooney Falls, Havasu Falls, and Navajo Falls. Rex Hardy accompanied us with his brother and his friend. Also with us were Michael Cureton and his son Cody, and Evan Smith.

That is the question I am always asked when family and friends look at my trip photos. I have been down there several times with scouts. Great trips and great memories.

On a 4-day trip, hiked down to the Colorado River from the Hualapai Hilltop, passing and photographing magnificent waterfalls along the way. One of the most beautiful places on Earth.
