Beat the heat  Sucess!

Took the day off to escape some high temps down in town. Went up the pyramid, which is labeled as Hazelton Peak here. I also went up Hesse while I was in the area.

Got lost on the way down  Sucess!

A nice easy hike up to the summit. I decided to cut through the grassy bowl onthe way down and got disoriented. I ended up following an old logging road for a while. Then I decided to hike through some trees to get a better view of a meadow on the other side. The first thing I noticed in the meadow was my car!

First time above 10000  Sucess!

A friend and I were driving back from Vancouver cutting down through the states and when we saw Powder River pass at just under 10000 feet we knew we wanted to go through the Bighorns.
Once we reached the pass we stopped and parked and looked for the coolest nearby mountain to climb and Hzelton Peak waas it.
At the time it was my first time above 1000o and I could feel it... and during the drive through the Bighorns we really fell in love with Cloud Peak... the whole range for that matter.
Awesome time!
