| I don't know why you seem to downplay this very pleasant view of Massanutten and surrounds. We thoroughly enjoyed this view to the west as the sun set and the stars came out. There are good level grassy spots just a few feet away where the three of us camped. I cowboy'd it on this mild breezy summer night. It couldn't have been a more wonderful experience. | |

| I took a cruise down Skyline Drive in July 2007. Besides seeing black bears twice, I also got to the summits of Betty's Rock and Hazeltop. | |

| Very quiet and did not see a single human at the trailhead or on the trail. Easy climb to the summit with good views in winter. | |

| Part of a nice loop hike that includes Big Rock Falls, Camp Hoover, and lots of mountain laurel. There were no views from the actual summit, but a short distance north of the summit on the AT there is a side trail that goes to a rock ledge with nice views to the west. | |

| I hiked both Appalachian Trail routes to the summit of Hazeltop. It was in the middle of the woods. Nice sunny day. | |
