Re: Question:I was with a guide who had GPS. He called for rescue, told them our co-ordinates and they came to the exact spot in less than 20 minutes. Pretty amazing really. The medics were so nice to me and, in Italy, the rescue was free. I was very grateful! I am much better now, thank you, cast just came off, so... time to plan my next trip!

Climbing is...DANGEROUS. Hiking is dangerous! Crossing the road is dangerous! Posting a COMMENT on SP is dangerous! But ... the REWARDS are obvious!!! Did everything come out okay???
Playing with your dog is dangerous!!!

Re: Climbing is...Six weeks in a cast, few weeks of rehab..and I am back on 2 feet! This is actually the 2nd time I broke an ankle, the first was right after getting home from a climbing trip and slipping while playing with my dog in the yard...so add playing with your dog to the list of very dangerous things in life!
