| In 1988 I did the entire Pröllweg from the Niedersachsenhaus to the Schareck in glorious weather. I was in awe at the sheer beauty of this trail with an ever-increasing panorama over the entire Salzburger Land! In 2006, I went up to Niedersachsenhaus from the Nassfeld, stayed over night there, went up the next morning as far as the Herzog Ernst (which one can hardly call a summit; it's more something of a corner-stone where Pongau, Pinzgau and Carinthia meet), then down to the Naturfreundehaus Neubau, and that same afternoon I went up Hoher Sonnblick.
