I've been to Stuttgart twice but both for business. I did not know the climbing possibilities of Stuttgart though.
As a kind of conservative trad climber I have a massive respect to German climbing ethics(Elbsandstein thing).
We also have a great basalt crack climbing area in my hometown and we are very strict on our rules and ethics there. No bolts, no pitons, no hammering, no chipping..Even for the anchors. But pure climbing with nuts and cams.
I hope I'll add this canyon to SP soon. It is in Turkish but you may like to check this out;
