Days don't get better than this

Blue sky, hoar frost. The Glyders have given me some great days, and some epic ones. I remember the epic ones the most.

Re: Days don't get better than this

Come to think of it, I had my worst bout of hypothermia after getting down from Glyder Fawr. Wet snow on the ascent (cotton anorak) then into a raging blizzard where my pack straps froze solid, with my overtrousers inside. Back at the Hostel, when the cold limb bloodflow hit the core, I shivered like a quaking jelly for an hour, with 2 down bags and 6 blankets. It was real tough to shiver that extreme.

Since I got a portable Bothy Bag, I know it would be a lifesaver if one became caught out.

Yea, its surprising how unforgiving the conditions can be up there. I reckon its always better to over prepare.

Looking great!

Always surprises me you can also do this sort of climbing outside the alps, superb!
