Hidden Lake, Reynolds Mountain

Hidden Lake, Reynolds Mountain

Hidden Lake tries to live up to its name in this dramatic photo taken from the summit of Reynolds Mountain. This view is looking west toward Mount Brown. Mount Edwards is on the left, and the south ridge of Bearhat Mountain is on the right. Dragontail Peak is in the foreground. The summit of Reynolds is long and spacious, and we were surprised by how much higher this perch is compared to the neighboring peaks. Glacier National Park, Summer, 2006.

What a truely spectacular place. Thanks for sharing this one. Good luck in the San Juans, weather looks better down there than up here.

Really Cool Shot

It's been nine years since I climbed this mountain. One of my first peaks in Glacier. I'd almost forgotten the views!
