Route Climbed: Southwest "Ridge" Date Climbed: 16 September 2004
At the conclusion of a business trip that took me to Hazelton, PA, I made the side trip out to High Point State Park. After parking in the AT lot, I jogged from the park gate along the road and up the route that I took this past winter. I took pictures to replace those that were lost when my computer self-destructed earlier this year, before I could back them up. It was a nice run in moderate temps.

I parked at the Interpretive Center and snowshoed beside the road for awhile before breaking off onto an unmaintained XC trail that took me directly to the summit. It was windy but not too cold, and the views were great!
Route Climbed: AT and off the AT on the road Date Climbed: 7/10/04
Got lost, but made the summit, which was very pretty, and suprisingly impressive for New Jersey. New Jersey's neighbor Delaware has a crappy, no, super crappy high point, and New Jersey has a really cool one. Oh when, oh when, will they open that monument? Who cares, the view from the summit is fine without it.
