The ruins of the 1892 brick courthouse (foreground) and the jail (background) in Hillsboro, New Mexico. Once a thriving mining town with a population of 1,200 near the turn of the 20th century, Hillsboro is a semi-ghost town today with a population of about 200. Photo taken 8/25/07.
