Good day
A good day from the cable car, up the Rotspitze and traversed the ridge to the Hochiss. Back down to the cable car. Saw very few people until the summit although, it was great weather.
Route Climbed: via Streichkopfgatterl Date Climbed: July 2003
On a cloudless, hot day I ascended via Dalfazeralm, then on to the Rotspitz and along the Dalfazer Joch, finally reaching the Streichkopfgatterl. From there in about 25 minutes to the peak of the Hochiss.
Route Climbed: Rofanspitze east face, Schmid/Müller (V) Date Climbed: Sep 14, 2002
From Kramsach,we took the funicular, then walked to the base of the face (1,5 h). The climb is very nice, well equipped with bolts. From the end of the climb, easy scrambling to the summit. We added another climb on Schokoladetafel before beginning the very long descent to the valley (1700 m!), because it was to late for the funicular.

From Dalfazalm (where we slept) to Erfurter Hütte, Rofanspitze, then Sagzahn, Vorderes Sonnwendjoch, Haidachstellwand, returning to Dalfazalm and descending to Achensee. Typical Rofan tour, doing a few summits a day.

Hot juneFrom Maurach am Achensee, it was very hot June, not clear views to Zillertal.

Rofanspitze - Standard RouteA couple of years ago; two or three times, once or twice in summer (nice hike for the whole family) and once in winter (nice ski tour).
