Now I can see my intended route of some years ago, when attempting the peak in Winter. However, I did not make it above the Hollental due to an unstable ice canopy over the river.

Nevertheless, I succeded to Winter climb Katsenkopf (the other side of the Valley), where I had a very tough time getting through the tremendous quantities of snow in the upper region.

I returned to climb Katsenkopf in better conditions. In all a wonderful solo adventure with Alpspitze and Zugspitze dominating the view.
